Contest Result that Disappoint me.. :)

Well, it was happened last month. I thought I wanted to share this story earlier but since I was so determine to go through all the appeal process, I decided to share once everything comes to the end.. 


And alas, even though the result was not what I am expected, at least as a winner I "almost" satisfied with how they (i.e. the organizer) are handling my case - definitely not the outcome-lah.. 


As most of you are aware, I was the grand prize winner for Syahirah Iffah Contest which entitled me to own RM10,000 jewelries sponsored by Habib Jewels. Alhamdulillah, like many others, I was grateful being one of the grand prize winner especially the winner was selected by random lucky draw. 


During the prize giving ceremony, even on the stage when I received the prize, at a glance, I was really "upset" with the prize. I personally didn't see that the jewelries is worth RM10,000. There were 3 winners and each winner received different jewelries set and I rasa i punya lah yang tak berapa nampak worth RM10K.

So, I went back home with a slight frustration in me. I was consoling myself that at least I was the grand prize winner among  hundreds applications. I do love the pendant but the earrings --- telinga pun tindiknya dah kambus..  ok that is not the problem.. The problem is - it is not RM10,000 that I think it should be.. 


The next few days, I brought the set to Habib KLCC and asked for their opinions and they said


 --- "akak, yang subang ni kiterang baru je ada clearance 70%, harga asal dalam seribu lebih"
 --- "yang pendant ni i tak berape sure, ni design lama, tapi saya rasa dalam RM2 ribu lebih"


ok, go calculate how much the total of the jewelries set..


so nak sedap kan hati i tanye lagi.. 


---"u rasa set ni ada lebih RM5k tak"
-- "eh, definitely not!!"


The salesman did asked "akak nak buat valuation ker, kalau nak buat ambik masa seminggu"


and I opted not to at the moment..


I spread the news to my BFF, Ayu, Ezna and Suzie, and I did informed them that I wanna lodge a complaint to the organizer. But I do bear in mind, kalau dah complaint fussy gini, sure this will be my last winning with Syahirah - Iffah, betul tak :) Tapi tak pe lah.. 


I wrote an email to them, one after another, nak tunggu reply satu hal. But above all, I did respect the person in charge in liaising with me because personally all of her replies showed her professionalism. I admit in one of the email, I was really really pissed off with their answer and I did replied to them err sarcastically... but again, she was very calm in answering each of my questions.


Since i keep sending them an email, later, they forward my email directly to Habib Jewels and only today, after two weeks from my last email, I received a call from Habib Jewels. 


No good news.


Only...


"Puan Amira, sebenarnya nilai emas memang bernilai RM10,000, itu emas kuning, emas mahal, takpe hari ni saya akan email Puan Amira by end of today detailing how much the price of the jewelries"


Again...


By end of today... 


up until 12am, I haven't receive the said email.


So...


Im speechless..
