Raya Aidilfitri 2009

We have a full blast during this Hari Raya, from Malacca, Mr. Husband was kind enough to drive us to Muar, then Gerik and Ipoh as well before heading back to our '"hometown" KL.

Back this year, Emir was not in a good mood on the first day of Hari Raya and he successfully avoided himself from looking to the camera.

Kalau ade yang terasa hati, terlebih kata dan terkurang hati, sama ada yang dikenali atau hanya di siber sahaja, kami saya menyusun sepuluh jari memohon kemaafan dari hujung rambut sampai hujung kaki.

Jika ada kelapangan, jemput lah ke rumah saya ok, saya ikhlas and as you know, I love guest!! so please feel free to come over to my house ya.. do contact me first ya,  pintu terbuka sepanjang syawal.. Open house sentiasa ok.. err.. who ever wants to try my cupcakes, inilah masanya huhu... 

And yes, this is the first syawal we are away from our parents. But yeay!! not too long, insyaAllah they will be coming back for good in the first week of October :)

Ramadhan to the finishing date

Picture taken by  Mr Husband using his mobile phone. Pinjam sat noo Mr. Husband.. How is your Ramdahan?. Anyway, Im still believe that my Ramadhan was way better during my schooldays. Yelah, sekarang ni dah jadi mak and bini orang, mase tu sangat limited, by the time kite habis ape bagai dengan dapur and anak, badan pun dah penat, nak nak weekdays kan, dengan dari keje, bangun pun awal untuk sahur. So mane tak nyer badan pun dah lunyai bile dah malam. Seriously, everyday I always telling myself "kenape lah tak amik cuti hari ni".

As when I get the title as a mother, I feel like a kid, giving a whoop of joy when the Maghrib arrived and I can finally enjoy a glass of much needed water. huhu. and wherever I performed the solat, honestly I couldnt just 100% concentrate as I was thinking what Emir is doing in our tiny living room especially nowadays he loves to jump from the prohibited area (i.e. tv cabinet) or go to the toilet without his parents. Ok, the father is always there but you know, the mother insticnt or people always called as "mum's third eye" heh. That is why sometimes I felt more secured wherever Emir is in front of the computer, at least he can sit still and I can convinced myself that he is Ok. :)

Sometimes I feel guilty to my son, once I step into our house, the first thing that I do is bukak tudung and go straight to the kicthen and leaving Emir alone at least for an hour and makes him occupied with whatever we have inside the house. TV, computer and of course "clean up the mess" and it even worst if I start my baking project. The time spent is longer than expected. For a million time, the last thing that I want him to do is to play computer games but I couldnt avoid the fact that it is the BEST time for Emir to stay safe while his mother is "away".

Anyway, saje nak nunjuk. I know, orang lain tunjuk cek 10, 11 ribu but this is only RM755 - winning prize from Roda Impian :). At first I was "bengang" since we have to wait for 6 months for a just few hundreds of ringgit but hey, now I am grateful since this cheque comes at the right time especially when my salary will only be deposited into my account on 28 september 2009. Hampeh. 28 September I pun dah balik raya ok.

p/s Anyway, anyone interested to buy raya cookies, a friend of mine yang jual, I bought few from her, honestly is sedap even everyone in the department ordered from her. Dia ade ter order lebih, ade few left, price range around RM17 to RM21. Kacang, Badam, biskut buah-buahan, havana sparkle (mcm london almond), isabella (not sure), and cornflakes. Interested do let me know ok.

Happier week

Yes, im happy. But please, there is nothing to do with no 2, he/she is still up there waiting for the right time to meet us :).. but on a lighter note..

And I have just recently received a notification from Roda Impian to collect the cheque as well.. wahh!! duit raya tau..Actually it was since last week but until now, Mr. Husband doesnt have time to drive me to Phileo Damansara but of course I will definitely ensure to collect the cheque as early as this coming Monday. Huhu..

 

Sahur tadi, tak tau la angin kus kus ape yang datang, hubby prepared for the sahur. Amin!! Woke up at 510 am with complete panic but when I opened the door, I smell food and tadaa the dining table was spaced up with F.O.O.D huhu.. Even though the nasi goreng looks like 5 people in the house but seriously it was not bad after all, simple but tasty.. nyum nyum, kalau hari hari macam ni kan best heheh.. 

err.. anyway, I received one e-mail that makes me smile all day :), I didn't expect she replied within few hours, but what on earth she knows I identify myself as Mira since I was first introduced myself as W... F... A.., usually people will first call me Wan.. or F... but not simply Dear Mira... confuse tau.. Did she read my blog?? huhu.. or worst thing..did I forget my friend's name.. errkk.. hope everything goes well.. InsyaAllah..

budak inikan.. sudah fully potty trained.. yahoo!! less expenses for diapers after this hehehe.. but one problem, when he refused to wear diapers, the father and the mother are still a bit worried especially when we were outside the house.. be it in a shopping mall, in the car, even nak tido dia tak mo pakai pampers katenyer

Ayam penyet

Every Wednesday hubby has a class until 6pm, so yesterday, there is no way I can settled my cooking before Maghrib (boleh sebenarynyer :p). Well, actually it is such a lame excuse -lah, few days earlier, I asked my hubby how delicious is Ayam Penyek since I have read abig Hu-Ha on it, and you know what he said

"Ayam penyet macam ayam goreng jer, kat Indon tu tepi tepi jalan-jalan dia jual"

"Jom try"

"Kat mane?"

"Kat curve ade"

"Nak makan ayam penyet sampai kene pergi the curve"

"ha ah tu je orang tau"

Huhu, I think we were the last person who managed to find three seats there, (lucky me) or else we have to wait or take away, 

i have seen the menu, jus jeruk, es milo, da da da.. everything has been translated into Bahasa Indonesia. so kami dengan tamaknyer mengorder..

Of cos, ayam penyet for myself.. tapi Emir telah makan suku sebelum bukak puasa

Papa ni saje tau nak tunjuk orang macam pelahap sangat.. Tu sate untuk Emir (FYI, Emir loves sate so much) and bakso penyet... Ye ye, semua penyet penyet kitereang order.. Oh dengan Jus jeruk and Es milo extra

 

While waiting for the parents to finish eating, as usual Emir dah restless, luckily he "found" a friend "yang menerima nasib yang sama". Then, this is what happened in that small restaurant, mereke berlari, berguling.. tak pe tak pe, both mothers buat relaks je sebab nak makan dengan tenang hehehehe..

Overall, ok ok, this is my honest point of view, I couldnt find anything special about whatever penyet they offered, I guess it is all about the name that makes the chickens look more interesting and attractive. I have even browsed to look for Ayam penyet recipe and I agree with all of you, it is not as simple as ayam goreng that it used to be but to me, yes I agree with Encik Emran, it is still Ayam goreng with extra ingredients. Mungkin sebab dia peram semalamam kot. Udang penyet - udang goreng.  But after this, InsyaAllah tidak lah aku sibuk sibuk nak ajak Encik Emran cari ayam penyet lagi.. buat kat rumah lagi sedap kan :)

Entry makanan

Emir batuk, Emir selsema, so we decided to stay at home during the weekends. Luckily we already bought baju raya the week before so tak de lah kelam kabut mane. I love weekends and I dont mind to laze around at home. You know, i remember ever since I was a kid, I never named the house as "boring", jarang jugak la i cakap "boring duduk rumah, tak tau buat ape". Cos i have a lot of things to do!! i mean seriously..


and the best part.. i love my kitchen, be it a small kitchen, but i love to stay for hours in the kitchen, do whatever I want to do.


Of course I thought I wanted to do some baking lah kan but unfortunately telur habis.. so, tunjuk laa gambar gambar what did I cooked for berbuka. Actually i rarely upload gambar gambar lauk pauk ok :) sebab segan huhu..


Before that, you see hubby has been unofficially appointed as "pembuat air" and he really did a great job. Everyday, we will drink a real healthy and fresh fruit juice without fail and terasa lah kesihatannya..

Emir and computer

You know how Emir loves computer!! He can even sit still in front of the computer for hours and worst part when he refused to go anywhere wherever his eyes is officially glued on the computer. He would say "No, i dont want to follow, i want to stay home" or "I dont want to shower" and list goes on.Say if Emir is too lazy to shower and that time we were hiding the laptop, i can just simply say to him "Kalau Emir mandi, Ibu bagi main laptop".. Mak aii, dari susah susah nak ajak mandi, perghhhh terusssssss berdesup pergi toilet.. tak ke kemaruk nyer anak aku ni..

Of course it is a good thing where he loves his home sweet home too much but of course at this point we are really worried of his eyes.

And yes, he knows how to click for www.playhousedisney-asia.com and www.barney.com, he just scroll down on the url address and tadaa..to navigate, naah, he learnt all by himself, i mean seriously!! until me too addicted to play this game - jojo circus (hop game), Emir lah yang ajar Ibu dia.. -- this is really true story ok..

and at the same time, tengok tv juga.. Papa is prohibited to stay near him as he knows papa is the one who hide the laptop. Kalau papa datang dekat, inilah muke yang dia akan bagi

 So what we have done so far;

1. Bought juice extractor and loads our fridge with LOT of fruits especially carrots and hubby kind enough to ensure that he drinks at least a glass per day.
2. Limit himself for 2 hours (sometimes tak de pun) and none during the weekend, oh yes, he is sooooooo mati kutu and end up he "cleans" up the house and I have to take charge to answer this favorite question  "Ibu, I want laptop" over and over again. Oh yes, it is not easy for us father as well to stay away from the laptop :)
   

And you know, paling teruk sekali sampai dia takut orang amik laptop and nyorokkan.. sila scroll ke bawah untuk lihat ape yang dinamakan overprotective..

what did i do?

Oh yes, still alive and kicking.. Have a blast weekend last week especially when the first time ever I shopped for Hari Raya in early Ramadhan (before: dah nak last minute baru sibuk). But this time around is way different since I am responsible to "sponsor" my sisters as well.

So, we went to The Garden, (oh yes, mane ade baju kurung kat The Gardens lol) and bought few tshirts and pants for little Emir. So, after Zohor prayer and the energy was still there, we walked down to Mid Valley and there you go, I serioulsy shopped for myself after so long!!

Many of my relatives realised that I didnt shop for quite some time since I am still wearing the same baju over and over for the past few years. I have no specific reason, it is just that i love to spend more on my household items and yes of course Emir. But hell yeah, what for i keje kuat2 tapi tak de untuk diri sendiri kan.

So, there you go. I bought 3 shoes in one day. I was closed to buy that Nine West but luckily no size for me. thank god, if not ntah berape la aku spend kan..

And of cos baju kurung. Adik adik aku pun beli jugak, seronok mereke yer mendapat baju kurung yang seratus lebih punyer memandangkan kakak dia tak banyak cakap. kesian pun ade jugak, ye laa first time derang raya mak ayah jauh di mata and most probably derang akan balik melaka jugak. but i didnt sponsor for their shoes. sorry laa :) kasut pun derang amik yang mahal2 punyer. hahaha.. but anyway, i went to Carrefour Wangsa Maju on the next day to buy my own baju kurung.

And at the south court if im not mistaken, the shopping mall is having the hari raya feast, ala-ala kampung. actually no one is allowed to stand on the rumah kampung but as usual, Emir berdiri di situ and buat ala-ala Akademi Fantasia.. haha at least sempat la posing kan..

Until one security guard came towards us and asked me to bring down Emir from there..

Merdeka Day

And hey readers, not to late for me to wish Selamat Hari Merdeka. Every year, we promised Emir to bring him to watch firecrackers, but that night, i was having a big headache and I slept earlier that night until hubby woke me up to ask whether to bring Emir anywhere near to the KLCC. And I agreed.

Usually, we just drive ourself to Akleh but since Duke is near to us, so we went there. tunggu punyer tunggu, along with other cars, nothing happen.. aik, KLCC takde bunga api?? menara kl takde?? biar betul.. true enough, sampai 1215 takde, confirm takde.. Pity emir. if i know, ade satu je kat Merdeka Square, of course we will be there.

And my sisters went back to U on Monday..

Ok there you go, masak + buat keje rumah everything in one go and of cos tak kuasa la nak hias hias kan.. :) yang penting rase mesti ade..
