BIG Winning entry: Makeover by nadiafarahida done by Wall MakeOver by Na.com

Alhamdulillah another sweet memories to be remembered for 2012. It was purely unexpected winnings and it was one of the wishlish I have for so long.. 

I do love interior design but to have one, it requires a lot of effort -- mostly the budget commitment, and to be honest, I  have yet to allocate any budget for renovation or interior design.. not yet.. just not yet.. but slowly i will strive for it.. 

and it is so meaningful to see your name as the Grand Prize winner when the prize is a MAKEOVER :) anyway, the makeover word pun kalau nama nya perempuan, u totally will jump for joy because most of the time, it will change you for the better..

As you know, the prize is sponsored by Nadia from nadiafarahida.com and with the trust that she has to this Company who actually done the makeover at her house, Nadia re-hired Wall Makeover by Na.com for this special project.

Honestly, am not too sure the exact price but according to Nadia it is very affordable. 

So, the crew came around 11 am early in the morning and the crew was the owner itself, Mr. Reza. I was like questioning myself "sorang je ke", but hell yeah.. owner mestilah power kan.. kalau i buat sure lembap dan tak habis-habis...

I am not a fussy person, as long as it looks nice, I'm fine.  Mr. Reza shared his few ideas which actually helped me to decide which wall to be the featured wall. and to be honest, I had no idea what color would be the background, i thought it was blue since when I discussed with Nadia, i told her that I wanted blue as it would match most of the colors in the room, so when I saw Mr. Reza started to paint in grey, I was panicked :p I am so not used with grey hehehe..

tapi bila dah habis.. i terus cakap 'cun cun" and the blue polkadots make my day .. suke.. imagine if I have blue background, with blue bed and blue curtain , tak ke tenggelam kan.. so my advise, where possible and to some extend, just trust the expert :)

Speaking of Emir, he was so excited to get his room. He even told his friends (by the way, sekarang ni budak kecik ni dah start call-mengcall rakan taulan dia) and informed that 

"you know my room is ready on Monday"

and you see how he monitored the progress... ;)

dari pakai baju, tertonggeng, ke sini ke depan, sampai lah terbukak baju.. ok, not terbukak.. saje bukak :)

me on the other hand preparing the lunch i think for 10 person :p ingat ramai benor orang datang :p ada ayam bbq, ikan siakap, daging, sayur.. and my heart just popped out when Mr. Reza told me..

"oh dulu saya chef"

Served the chef? Me?

tapi moto i -- biar orang keluar rumah i dengan perut kenyang :) harap-harapnya.. 

after few hours, Emir has a match light saber color in his room and the picture proof it all.. 

you see you see.. it was not only eye catchy but if you look nearer, Mr. Reza leaves a flawless finish on our wall  - well as a non expert, he gives a first rate producing result :) honestly, at a glance you may think this is a wallpaper rather than a wall paint. 

to give more impact to the wall, Mr. Reza suggested to color some of the dots with black, and he actually provided 2 options, either add another black polka dot in between or a random black polkadot, so i chose the later and I personally satisfied with my decision :)

and one satisfied little customer .. should i say more.. and this is the last picture before Mr. Reza balik. Thank you so much for this great artwork.

later in the evening, nadia came to our house with her husband and her little sister.. and she surprised me with  another sweet prize for Emir.. 

an aeroplane wall sticker -- bende yang Emir suke sangat-sangat.. he once had an ambition to be a pilot and he stick with this ambition for few years until he changed it last year -- to become a badminton player replacing Dato' Lee Chong Wei (i terkejut dia kenal DLCW)..

even though that was my first time meeting Nadia, but we were like sisters.. :) especially she is so friendly and approachable, u know me, most of the time, i ni kayu jugak nak nak jumpe orang for the first time.. 

and the mission accomplished :) Emir is so proud of his DIY .. kesian Nadia, she told me jenuh dia mencari kapal terbang ni merata-rata sebab masa discussion tu dah tersebut kapai terbang .. terharu ok.. i didnt expect this far.. 

and now, the room is totally a boy's room. and Emir is so happy with the finishing, malam tu jugak he decided to sleep in his room. Oh yes, buat pertama kalinya dia tido dalam bilik dia sendiri :).. and he officially claimed this is his room.. 

Nadia's sister tu macam anak sedara i.. sebijik. in fact mak i pun tersilap, ingat anak sedara i .. pelanduk dua serupa.. and she is just 11 years old.. macam dah besar kan..  and looking at this picture, muke macam adik beradik pulak.. 

Dear Nadia, I hope this is not the last time we meet each other. Feel free to visit us anytime you want, and thank you for this gift and absolutely thank you for choosing me as a winner.. it is a perfect gift at the right time.. sangat sentimental value untuk Kak Mira..

Alhamdulillah, di saat-saat ketandusan kemenangan, akhirnya rezeki kali ini milik saya..

Minggu ini i training di Bangi, memandangkan i ni masih menggunakan phone yang tak smart lagi, jadi memang offline terus dari internet sampai lah pulang ke rumah.. bila pulang ke rumah, tahu-tahu sajalah..

InsyaAllah I will feed the whole team when you visit my house ok.. 

and i am famous of feeding people :) - tinggai sedap tak sedap je lah kan :p

ok.. behind the scene of the entry..

sebenarnya i dah buat entry tu dah agak lama, tapi letak dekat draft dengan harapan i akan touch up dan make-up2 kan entry tu supaya nampak lebih kemas.. letak gambar, elaborate more.. 

tapi, minggu-minggu tu i agak busy, dengan sibuk nak pergi bercuti ke Legoland apa bagai.. ingat nak buat dekat Johor, sekali i bijak bistari tertinggal charger laptop dan laptop i tak boleh hidup without the charger..

and i was having such difficulties to connect to the internet in UTM. dan gadget-gadget touch screen yang lain adalah tidak membantu langsung.. 

jadi hari yang terakhir tu dengan pergi JPO satu hari, lepas tu borak-borak dengan parents i yang baru sampai dari KL, dan malam tu pulak Mr. Husband ajak teman tengok Twilight (yelah since ada orang boleh jaga Emir).. so mase tu macam 

1. frust - sebab tak dapat submit the best entry 

2. mase nak connect to the internet tu banyak sangat problem..

so for the first 30 minutes tengok Twilight, i sibuk message-message adik I suruh tolong publish..

lepas tu problem datang sebab adik i tak reti pulak nak tinggalkan komen dengan link dekat blog Nadia.. 

and Nadia punya comment box adalah sangat Javascript yang samsung Galaxy Tab husband I tak dapat nak bagi i tinggalkan comment.. jenuh i try buat macam-macam tapi tak boleh..

so masa tu i dont have any other choice melainkan email Nadia.. Alhamdulillah nasib Nadia ada tinggalkan email address dekat blog, dan i pun email lah dia..

mase tu i terkilan ok because i really loveee the prize... sebab i rasa i kalah tanpa usaha lebih sikit.. sebab dalam kepala i sure kalah teruk punya kan dengan 101 comments - tak sure berape banyak penyertaan..

tapi Alhamdulillah, rezeki saya :)

Yes, I consider this as BIG winning.. :D

Alhamdulillah, following my entry here , I was selected as one of the consolation prize winner which then earn me to own this 2 Day passes to Legoland Malaysia and the tickets valid from 15 September 2012 up to 31 December 2012.

Bukan setakat Emir excited, mak paknyer pun excited jugak :) hehe Of cos when you get to save RM140 x 2 :), suke!!

BIG Winning - Peraduan Dugro Raya 2012

Alhamdulillah, dengan nama Allah yang Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Mengasihani..

Kemarau tak dapat hadiah memang lama lah jugak. dan I memang suka hantar last minit, tak tau lah kenapa, i dari segala sudut memang adalah orang yang suke buat bende last minit, bukan setakat hantar borang contest, bende lain pun macam tu jugak.. 

dan sebab dari itu jugak, ada banyak jugak bende yang i tak sempat hantar terus walaupun barang-barang proof of purchase (POP) dah dibeli., selalunya i akan beli POP awal, tapi hantar nak jugak last minit, sekali bile time nak hantar, i was really busy yang sampai tak de masa untuk diri sendiri. to name few bende yang i ingat i tak sempat hantar sebab last minit punye cerite

I sent one entry only. Yes, thats me, paling tinggi i akan hantar borang pun adalah 5 itupun jarang. I bought Dumex Dugro, wrote an essay on the same day and submitted on the next day (which was few days away from the contest deadline) -- kire pasrah je lah.. unlike others, there was no hias menghias, I just type and printed out and sent together with one family picture, thats all (itupun stapler dan itupun dari printing je -- :D)

3 days away from the contest deadline, a friend of mine sent me Dumex Dugro's proof of purchase (thanks Ain), and I wrote another entry but under my husband's name (tapi nampaknya kalah kot :D).. tak sure lah sempat sampai ke tak. 

Alhamdulillah, yang lekat adalah nama I..

I was this close to win Grand Livina *hehehe perasan.

dan akhirnya, saya adalah pemilik Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 --- insyaAllah..

BIG Winning Entry: iPad2 from Kao Laurier

Result peraduan ni telah lama diumumkan di Facebook Kao Laurier. Tapi pelik juga sebab saya tak terima langsung panggilan dari pihak Kao Laurier. Jadi masa minggu terakhir puasa, i pun call Kao dan rupenye sepucuk surat telah dihantar kepada saya.. tapi yang peliknya sampai ke hari ni (selepas terima iPad2) i tak terima lagi surat yang dikatakan.

Pihak Kao pulak kate dah lame hadiah ade ditangan mereka dan pelik yang i tak call derang.. Err.. confuse.. Takpe yang penting hadiah nye ade..

Jadi, sehari sebelum raya, hari Jumaat tu, boss bagi keluar awal dalam pukul 3 petang, jadi tepat je pukul 3, terus zass mintak hubby standby terus dekat LRT Kerinchi dan terus ke pejabat Kao di Menara Merais PJ.

Sementara tunggu person in charge, memang kaunter receptionist nyer penuh dengan produk2 dari Kao, gambar i ambik, tapi gelap sangat.. (lately ni malas nak edit2 picture semenjak ketiadaan Picnik :( rindu function Picnik)

Siapa tak kenal jenama Kao kan :)

Prize Giving Ceremony: Picture Perfect 10 @ Marriott Putrajaya

It was held last Friday. I mean on 20 July 2012.

Ronnie (the organizer) called and asked when would be the best time for us to have a small prize giving ceremony, so I suggested on Friday at 7pm. 

So, mulalah plan laki bini, nak ambik dekat mana, pukul berapa, plan punya plan, sekali Jumaat tu, hujan lebat selebatnya. Dah la lebat, lepas tu hari Jumaat, jalan super duper jam, at last, I decided we went separate ways, i pakai public transport, mr. Husband and adik-adik I naik kereta.

And so.. that was my first experienced naik ERL. FYI, the fare from KL sentral to Putrajaya is RM9.90 one way, not bad. Quite fast, it took me about 30 minutes to reach there. (putrajaya sentral)

Arrived at Putrajaya Sentral, from there I had no choice but to take public cab. Ok, again FYI, you have to purchase the coupon, and i was shocked, i mean seriously surprised that the taxi fare was RM19.90. Masa tu i tak dak idea how far Putrajaya Sentral to Marriott would be, but RM19.90 for a ride around Putrajaya saja, tak ke mahal. Sempat lagi i tanye cashier tu awat mahai benor, dia kate, dah memang harge macam tu. Well anyway, i still think it is expensive don't you.

and I managed to reach Putrajaya around 5 minutes before 7, meaning to say,I naik cab dalam maksimum 10 -15 minutes je.

Ok fine, at least i safely arrived at Marriott :) the most important, before the agreed time :)..

and Victor (other winners) was already there with his children and of course Ronnie :)

The ceremony was simple, less is more.. i suke.. the prize was presented by Marriott's GM. Thank God, luckily I arrived on time, else, I wasted or err irritated other people's time. That was the reason, why I was alone in the picture.

Grand prize: Farlia.. lucky her, she won 2 tickets to Osaka. She is going with her mother after Raya. Enjoy the trip dear, lucky you.  oh yes, she is a mother of two.. still cun ok..

 Yours truly: Second prize winner:- 3 days 2 nights at Renaissance Hotel KL + breakfast

Third prize winner: Victor Wong:- 2 days 1 night at Marriott Putrajaya. He is truly hardcore comper, banyak menang best-best. Had a great opportunity to chat with him, this September he is flying off to LA, he won the Astro contest.

Mr. Husband and the bala tentera arrived at 8pm. Phew selamat I tak ikut. Just ambik gambar depan Zest Restaurant je. Anyway, ,this picture was taken after we had our dinner pun..
