The best about my *w*o*r*k - Sabah trip

The moment the coordinator booked our calendar, i honestly became so excited. First thing most, though my department is super busy, very accounting firm oriented but one thing here that i treasure the most is the relationship among the colleagues. We, i might say, a bunch of "young kids" who will easily forget about work, age and position once we went out for outing / tea*m b*uilding and we know how to enjoy ourselves.

There you go, this year, Kota Kinabalu is our destination for out get together a.k.a tea*m b*uilding. So as usual, this post is quite long outstanding but still, it is worth for this event to have a fair share in this space :)

This year, the team is divided into two airlines, as a precaution, in case something "wrong" with one flight, other team will continue to run the department.. Ok sounds so bad, but thinking about the logic behind this.. ade betulnya..

So, my flight was Malindo and i have to be at KLCC as early as 430 am as our flight departed at 8am ++.  My first time visiting KLIA 2 and yes, im quite impressed with the airport -- fact: it is so easy to beat LCCT right :p

wefie before masuk flight. Note tangan belakang is not middle hand yer, 10 kali tuan punya badan pesan.. itu ticket kapai terbang..

This is our hotel for 3 days two nights. seronok betul orang hotel tu terima kami.. Rase macam welcome sungguh..

Right after we checked in to our hotel, the organizer has arranged for us to visit Mari-Mari Cultural Village.

Mari Mari Cultural Village tour is located deep in the countryside about 25 minutes away from the modern and developing Kota Kinabalu city. The village operates as a museum that preserves Borneo ethnic culture. It aims to share the knowledge, history, culture, and tradition of Borneo with you so that it is not forgotten.

Generally, quite interesting to see different cultures in Malaysia and i was so happy to strike off one of my wishlish which was - tryouts Kadazan's dance. Yesza, i volunteered to be a "clown" on the stage and spontaneously dragged one of my colleague to dance with me. Yes, she is mad :p To be honest, i was too shy, being a fat lady somehow, i cant deny, it lowered my self esteem and this is one of it.. takut jatuh gedebuk macam  buah nangka busuk but I took the risk, thicken my face and went for the dance group tryout. and wah-lah with small steps.. it quite easy so long you understand the steps.

But unfortunately, there is no picture of me on the stage :(

Later that night, we had our so called "annual dinner" and the theme for this year is Hawaiian.

Last year, we had our pirates theme party and the organizer had allocated some budgets to reward those who really put an effort to dress up like a pirate. And there you go, my group won the best costumes (for groups). But this year, the organizer cancelled this kind of reward as they think it is unfair for those who don’t have that “appetite” to dress up :p But hey, being us, takde reward pun we dressed up as a group but of cos, we make it simple as we can.

And this is my group “uniform” for that night. Tell ya, I hate wearing like this (tuck in), it really shows that I am currently wearing XXXL size, but yeah, at times, you have to feel confidence about yourself else you don’t enjoy what you do.  So pejam mata buat sajalah.

There were lot of activities that night and this is one of it.

That night ada banyak activities and this is one of it.

But the best activity - where we have to perform flash mob (the whole group) using macarena song.. Best babe though it was really tiring of Day 1 (remember we have to be at KLCC as early as  430 am)

The next day – ok ini I suke.. Island hopping but dekat je lah, Mamuntik and Manukan island, about 10 minutes from the jetty. Though the island is located near to the city, but the water is quite crystal clean, but yes, not as beautiful as Mabul – lah, but still acceptable and you know like “a city girl trying to escape and found paradise” – cam gitulah.. Of cos ade teambuilding activities but later, we managed to squeeze our time for  snorkeling.

Me with Naz. Naz is a friend of mine sejak zaman audit firm. dari E**Y to D**el**oitte and now in the same department doing the same thing :) and when the picture was taken below, it was the day when she turned 3* years old.

Snorkeling .. buahaha.. guess what, that was the first time I know the correct way to wear the snorkeling mask. For the first 40 minutes, I was struggling to understand why I couldn’t breathe under the water unlike my colleagues yang relax aje, then only I realized I did it the wrong way. And there you go, I wasted 40 minutes not enjoying the moment when once I knew the concept, all my colleagues already swimming towards the shore. Frustrated jugaklah tapi sempat nampak ikan buntal.. how I wish, Emir is with me since he too loves water activities.

Bawah ni setting for our lunch buffet. by the beach.. berangan macam ada orang propose dekat sini haha

Later that night, we had our dinner at Nelayan Restaurant KK and yes.. the food were so yummylicious and I agree, if you refuse to experience bad dinner, please do visit Nelayan Restaurant and err.. of cos, there is a price to pay for quality food service :p. As a proof, there are  many foreigners rather than the locals.. so boleh tahu la kan :D

And I tasted this.. not bad not bad.. but I only able to swallow at least 5..

The next day was the last day we were in KK and since my flight was scheduled at 5 ++ pm,  so yesza yesza, ada time nak shopping.. yours truly spent a lot. Yes, I mean a lot.. from pearls, to seafood, to kerepek, and I constantly reminded myself – “once a while” tho the damaged is quite “hurt”.

And I just got to know that KK has its own Hard Rock shop. A small cabin corner near the famous hotel (ok dah lupe name) as usual I only bought that classic Hard Rock magnet.

But yes, honestly, this is the best t*ea*mbu*ild*ing trip ever! Light and easy..

Of cos the best part is this goodie bag :D not in the pictures are few iSetan vouchers

Selamat Pengantin Baru Rafa & Zara

Alhamdulillah seorang lagi sepupu i selamat mendirikan rumah tangga dengan wanita pilihan hatinya.. Rafa & Zara.

Bunga buat sendiri tu..

Adik I mimi bersama dengan anak sepupu i yang baru berusia 3 bulan kot :) (anak Ani - Ilham).

Masa ni dah sampai ke rumah pengantin perempuan.. adik i Cik yah

Tak banyak gambar yang i ambik.. makin lame dah makin malas pulak nak ambik gambar. Laki i apatah lagi, bawak kamera pun dia dah malas. so ape yang ada je lah yer..

Rasa Rafa macam Ustaz Don pulak, lama betul dia baca ayat dekat bini dia masa ni :D

bila tengok banyak betul gambar Mimi ni dalam handphone i

Lepas akad nikah, apa lagi makan lah.. Dekat kampung, jadi rewang lah.. masakan pun sedap.. Gambar ni sebenarnya nak ambik gambar Emir yan semangat kusyuk tengah makan di nun hujung sana bersama dengan bapak i (atok Emir). Seronok pulak tengok Atok Emir layan Emir. and semua orang kagum sebab Emir makan pulut sampai 3 pinggan berlaukkan sambal ikan bilis. Tapi pulut dia memang terbaiklah.. lemak santan tu memang umpph..

Keesokkan hari nya majlis dekat rumah pengantin pengantin perempuan.. Tapi bile korek-korek i punye handphone tak de pulak gambar dekat rumah pengantin perempuan.. Takpe tunggu gambar dari official photographers lah..

Ok gambar dekat bawah ni gambar masa majlis dekat belah pengantin lelaki. Abang pengantin lelaki, wedding planner, memang cun la deko untuk majlis pengantin ni.. photo booth dia cantikkkkkkkk.. tapiiiiiii again bile i belek-belek balik, tarak gambar deko deko tu dekat phone i. Bile pikir balik baru teringat yang i malas nak pegang phone masa tu sebab sibuk dengan bende lain.

Emir and the gang (basically his uncles) ditugaskan untuk jadi tukang pegang bunga manggar. In fact derang dah gelarkan team derang as Bungga Manggar boys. Tengoklah walaupun berpeluh dengan panas terik but they are too excited.

Akhirnya pengantin pun tiba jugak.. payung tu jahit sendiri ok.. the day before.. :)

Ini gambar selekeh kami bertiga dengan pengantin. Sorrylah Emran muke macam bini tak jage :p and kiterang pun tak sedonondon kali ni..

He is on his way to become a tahfiz, insyaAllah..

Yang pasti we have a blast during our stay in Gerik.

Semoga Rafa & Zara bahagia dunia dan akhirat.

Tahniah dari
Abang Em, Kak Long dan Emir

on kertas UPSR bocor

I dah lame tak tulis, dah lama jugak tak ponder pendapat yang tak seberapa di public. Kadang-kadang, bila fikir balik, at this age, I rasa taknak untuk orang kenal, further I sendiri tak tau sape yang ikut I, even tho I bukanlah popular langsung. But somehow, I am ok to set all my social media networks as public considering few factors.. masuk contest and business related. Except Twitter, I still keep my twitter as private.

So, today, this morning, I went for my breakfast with my husband at my usual place nearby to my son’s school at Bukit Damansara. A lady, about my mum’s age was reading a newspaper and we started to chit-chat.

Ok fine, memang tak peliklah, kalau ikutkan dari zaman I kecik dulu, soalan periksa memang selalu nyer ada rumuors kate bocor, tapi I rasa this year keadaan jadi tak terurus dan melampau.

You see, there are so many layers in searching for the suspects.

MasyaAllah, ramai target guru. Cikgu. Cikgu ni tugasnya sangat murni, sangat telus, dari cikgu lah kite diajar apa tu integrity, but it is sad to learn that maybe teachers are abusing the word - integrity and tarnish the teachers’s reputation as a whole, cikgu lain tak pasal-pasal terkene tempiasnya.. definitely this is one serious irresponsible act. Why they are teaching the kids to cheat. After all they are just standard 6 students. Darjah 6, yang perempuan belum tentu dah datang period, yang laki I guarantee suara pun belum pecah lagi. In conclusion, they have a long way to go..

Saya bukan nak compare dengan negara maju, tapi sekurang-kurangnya why don’t we learn something from them. Our education system is too exam oriented. The school now is getting pressured by the Ministry to perform and work towards “Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi” dan “Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi” is getting pressured to maintain their position.

How I wish  the politicians do not involve in our education system. Honestly, they screw up everything. Kalau Menteri baru masuk, bermakna cikgu cikgu kene bersedia untuk dengar satu lagi pembahruan. Teachers are having a hard time to adapt to the new system. Kerja admin lagi banyak dari kerja mengajar, sudahnya, cikgu pun susah nak fokus kelebihan dan kekurangan pelajar sebab ada kertas kerja terpaksa disiapkan. Im telling you, berapa ramai suami / isteri kepada cikgu cikgu yang terpaksa turun padang bantu isteri isteri / suami-suami marking paper. Mesti ramai punya..

Sadly our politicians, they make changes, but they do not part of the changes, so they do not know what happen at the ground level. I think you all pun perasan, mereka bukannya ada anak yang belajar sampai habis di Malaysia. Kalau di Malaysia pun, ramai je politicians hantar anak dekat sekolah swasta, International school, and thereafter, hantar anak di luar negara. So, they as the parents did not suffer from Malaysia education system.

Walaupun I tak de anak darjah 6, tapi I kesian dengan anak-anak ni semua. They are just children. Budak-budak makin panjang lah stressnyer. Cikgu makin tension lah gamaknya. Kalau Emir darjah 6, i mesti stress.. sangat.. sebab i consider myself as kiasu parent.. (yes i am)

Belum lagi kite masuk cost nak print balik kertas-kertas exam, lepas ni im sure cost akan meningkat tinggi , ntah-ntah sape yang terlibat dengan menggubal soalan ini kene kuarantin sampai lah hari exam. I know its just an assumption, but surely, the cost will be increased. Kesian duit taxpayer L

Walau ape pun, its all said and done. 30 September is the final day. Harap adik-adik semua bertabah lah ya. Ini baru satu “kerja orang yang kite harapkan” yang banyak rakyat persoalkan, banyak lagi  yang menjadi tanda tanya, not only in education, banyak lagi dik. Once you learn about Malaysia, rasa kasihan tu akan cepat wujud. Kesian Malaysia.. Kesian rakyat marhain.

Kesian budak UPSR.

7D Special Screening at Mad About Coco, Publika

As a young girl (during my childhood years), I bet for once, we love and dream to be a princess. One of the fairytale that I wanted to be HER is Snow White (i know she is not a princess from the beginning). Snow White is a kind and gentle princess comes with beauty and white skin and being loved by all especially the dwarfs.

But unfortunately, we rarely heard the stories of the dwarfs. Their lives, their community, their surroundings..

Inspired by Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, the 7D is an American animated television series produced by Disney Television Animation. A brand new funny animated television series which will take you and your family to the world of Jollywood, featuring the Seven Dwarfs from Snow White, with characters redesigned by the Noah Z.Jones ("Fish Hooks")- Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Dopey, Grumpy and Doc.

"The
7D" who serve as their kingdom's peacekeepers, defend the fairytale land from two laughably evil villains Grim and Hildy Gloom. Both the Glooms who attempt with much comedic mayhem scenes along the way wish to take over the kingdom by stealing the magical jewels in the 7D's mine. Of course the little brave heroes would not allow this to happen, so check out how they protect their mine and kingdom from the evil tricks.

Stay tune to
Disney Channel to embark the fun, energetic and adventurous journey with The
7D.

and

The
7D will premiere on Sunday,September 7 at 11am on Disney Channel (Astro Channel 615)

Emir is lucky to be invited as first few kids for the special Screening of 7D at Mad About Coco, Publika together with the bunch of Disney fans.

In the premiere episode, “The Littlest Giants/Gnome Alone”, it’s up to the 7D to save the kingdom from a giant who is terrorizing Jollywood and Sleepy goes solo to stop the Glooms from stealing the Royal Ruby when the 7D go on vacation without Sleepy.

In addition to Osbourne, the 7D stars the voices of Emmy-nominated Jess Harnell (Disney Junior's "Sofia the First" and "Doc McStuffins") as Grim Gloom, Leigh-Allyn Baker (Disney Channel's "Good Luck Charlie") as Queen Delightful, Disney legend Bill Farmer (the voice of Goofy) as Doc, Emmy winner Maurice LaMarche ("Pinky and the Brain") as Grumpy, Emmy nominee Kevin Michael Richardson (Disney XD's "Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja") as Happy, Dee Bradley Baker ("Phineas and Ferb") as Dopey, Scott Menville ("Teen Titans") as Sneezy, Stephen Stanton (Disney Junior's "Doc McStuffins") as Sleepy, Billy West ("Ren & Stimpy") as Bashful and Paul Rugg ("Animaniacs") as Lord Starchbottom.

The children are lucky enough to be in the front row watching the 7D and yes, the laughter not only came from the children but the parents.

After the show, the guests are served with yummylicious brunch.. and the best part was

free flow of hot Chocolates, and Emir being a hot drink fan, he was so overwhelmed with his Hot Chocolates and yes, 3 cawan lagi..

Me with the baju kurung because right after the event, I had to attend few non-stop open houses.. and afraid not, I think i followed the Disney color theme :)

Once again dun forget to watch the 7D premiere on this Sunday,September 7 at 11am on Disney Channel (Astro Channel 615)
