Every Wednesday hubby has a class until 6pm, so yesterday, there is no way I can settled my cooking before Maghrib (boleh sebenarynyer :p). Well, actually it is such a lame excuse -lah, few days earlier, I asked my hubby how delicious is Ayam Penyek since I have read abig Hu-Ha on it, and you know what he said
"Ayam penyet macam ayam goreng jer, kat Indon tu tepi tepi jalan-jalan dia jual"

"Kat mane?"
"Kat curve ade"
"Nak makan ayam penyet sampai kene pergi the curve"
"ha ah tu je orang tau"

"err, tapi ni dah kul 6 dah ni, mane ade tempat"

Huhu, I think we were the last person who managed to find three seats there, (lucky me) or else we have to wait or take away,
i have seen the menu, jus jeruk, es milo, da da da.. everything has been translated into Bahasa Indonesia. so kami dengan tamaknyer mengorder..
Of cos, ayam penyet for myself.. tapi Emir telah makan suku sebelum bukak puasa

Papa ni saje tau nak tunjuk orang macam pelahap sangat.. Tu sate untuk Emir (FYI, Emir loves sate so much) and bakso penyet... Ye ye, semua penyet penyet kitereang order.. Oh dengan Jus jeruk and Es milo extra
While waiting for the parents to finish eating, as usual Emir dah restless, luckily he "found" a friend "yang menerima nasib yang sama". Then, this is what happened in that small restaurant, mereke berlari, berguling.. tak pe tak pe, both mothers buat relaks je sebab nak makan dengan tenang hehehehe..
Overall, ok ok, this is my honest point of view, I couldnt find anything special about whatever penyet they offered, I guess it is all about the name that makes the chickens look more interesting and attractive. I have even browsed to look for Ayam penyet recipe and I agree with all of you, it is not as simple as ayam goreng that it used to be but to me, yes I agree with Encik Emran, it is still Ayam goreng with extra ingredients. Mungkin sebab dia peram semalamam kot. Udang penyet - udang goreng. But after this, InsyaAllah tidak lah aku sibuk sibuk nak ajak Encik Emran cari ayam penyet lagi.. buat kat rumah lagi sedap kan :)
