Where to eat: Buffet Ramadhan 2012 @ Marriott Putrajaya

ini adalah entry yang sangat panjang, cadangnya mau saja buat dua tiga entry, tapi kesian kepada rakan taulan yan imannya tak kuat tengok makanan hehe :D.. aler, tak dalah, i pun pembaca blog jugak, kalau entry yang sama dua tiga entry, boleh naik boring jugak nak baca kan.. so let it be one for all..

so last Thursday, Mama invited the whole family to breakfast at Marriott Putrajaya. Heh.. again :D dont worry, we just love it. as i told some of my friends - eat - is my middle name :D.. cumanya ada sikit kelewatan bertolak dari KL,  ape nak buat kesilapan teknikal berlaku :p jadi kami bertolak pukul 5.30 petang, of cos, Mr. Husband tak udah-udah dok membebel, tahu sajalah, dalam bulan Ramadhan, satu KL ade tiga jam je nak balik dari office sebelum bukak puasa.. semua jalan jam, kalau meteor jatuh dari langit, confirm tak dak sapa boleh lari :p

Tapi disebabkan kekacakan dan kepandaian laki i -- kene puji sikit - sempat lah kami sampai on the dot, lima minit awal lagi .. tapi bayangkan 2 jam just nak sampai putrajaya.. baiklah balik Melaka jumpe ibu mertua i.. 

Turun-turun je, ade dekorasi bukak puasa dekat sini.. rasanaya hari tu ada invitation untuk anak-anak yatim, siap ada clown datang lagi.. tapi tak de pulak i snap gambar clown.. --dok sibuk melantak kan--

Dah sampai ngam-ngam, tak de nyer i nak pergi ambik gambar ape bagai, kite makan dulu...
jom tengok makanan dulu...

Fakta: yang atas ni bukan pinggan i ok.. i makan banyak, tapi tak de lah letak banyak-banyak macam ni :D

Ok, orang panggil tu ape yer? i tau tengok Mr. Bean je.. tengok Encik Emran ambik banyak, i pun belasah ambik 3, sekali makan satu je, lepas tu dah tak boleh telan :D

ini pinggan i dengan Emir rasanya.. ada sushi counter.. Emir as usual, siap ada special request lagi dekat chef yang jage counter.. dia belasahnya Maki tu sampai 4 sets.. - udang tu i punye lah

Alhamdulillah, masuk sehingga hari ni, Emir baru sehari ponteng puasa.. makin lama dia makin stable puasa..

dan lagi, rasanya adik-adik semua dok sibuk ambik bende yang pelik-pelik je

Adik beradik, muka  tak sama tapi dua-dua still available hehehe

u see.. kiterang macam obses dengan bende tu.. but seriously, apa namanyer?

Pemandangan dalam Zest restaurant, actually banyak sangat-sangat counter dibukaknya.. dekat luar restaurant, so tak akan ada lah sesi - i makan lebih pada you, u tak dapat -- sini semua dapat..

Dessert counter.. sate pun ada, tapi dekat luar, i tak ambik gambar, and durian pun ada.. cuma durian boleh makan dekat luar je, tak boleh bawak masuk dalam..

Tempat sushi Emir.. Emir tengok je kat sini dah buat aksi slurpppp..

Tak taulah dari semua ni, berapa banyak bahagian yang diambil oleh family besar i..

by the time nak ambik gambar sefamily, sekali bateri i dah kong.. dah selamat dah pun.. bapak i tak ikut, bapak i kate kalau ikut, sure tak sempat nak terawikh jemaah.. yerp, its true, i rasa itulah draw back makan buffet ni, makan sampai tak ingat, lepas tu dah kenyang, dah tak sempat nak terawikh kat surau..

Where to eat: Buffet dinner at Zest Restaurant, Marriott Putrajaya

Alhamdulillah, Ronnie from Marriott Putrajaya text me and asked 

"please let me know how many of your family members will be coming along"

You read it right.. how many? no limited seats?

in my mind i would love to invite the whole family members :p but to be moderate, i replied

"im coming with 3 adults and 1 child, excluding myself" with no idea who should I invite :p

As the prize giving ceremony was held on the first day of tarawikh, Mr. Father and Madam Mother declined the invitation, of course it was unspoken rules that Mr. Husband has to tag along with Emir kan..

and so I left with two empty seats.. but don't worry, it can easily be filled in by my sisters.. :)

The prize giving ceremony was held at Zest restaurant, I shall update about it later.. ;)

Let's talk about food, since puasa kan.. drooling your eyes je lah ok :p since we came separate ways, i came by public transport and they were trapped in the traffic jam, so i got the first chance to "think" what to eat..

wooo banyak ok - apologize as the quality of the camera is quite shaky and most of the pictures were snapped by Emir, :)

you know, im not too sure whether Marriott has a seafood theme buffet, because seafood adalah di merata-rata, i hardly remember whether i saw any chicken there :)

and you know, yours truly lovesssssss seafood, i mean lovessss is loveeesssssss.. and of course my sotong is there!!! 

and it was my first time eating baby crab, i thought baby crab is a soft shell crab, rupenyer bukan yer.. selambe je i telan dengan kulit-kulit sekali,  and they served smoked salmon too!!! Mr. Husband was very happy lah..

i told you semua ada.. name it.. those who are seafood lover , this is the place where your tummy should belong to hehehe.. crab, squid, prawn, baby crab, crab, salmon, seabass, mussel, scallop and many more..

but of course when you see this, automatically you will say

"kene makan ni"

ok to be specific, slipper lobster :) you think we only ate 3 lobsters? ;p 

and again this is my first time heard the name of "sea parrot fish".. punyalah besar... gambar ni Emir ambik..

and it was really satisfying because Emir enjoyed the food. He had two plates of pasta, a full plate of fruits, ice cream, crabstick, prawn.. yes, he was full!!

Yes, he is kekenyangan. emir ni kalau tak nak makan, belilah ape barang pun, kalau tak nak, tak nak lah, tapi kalau dia nak.. memang nampak macam bukan budak kecik punya makan..

untuk Cik Yah dengan Mimi, ambiklah gambar korang, kak long upload sorang satu je, nak ambik sendiri dalam SD card ni..

and.. and.. and.. sebab tengok food dia sedap, tengok lah harga buffet nyer..

So in total, the value of our dinner -- RM105 x 4 = RM420 + RM63 = RM483...

Where to eat: Restoren Barada Bandar Tun Hussein Onn

You know, having to be part of my other's half for 7 years, one of the thing that i have to adapt is - unplanned event. you know, before this, i considered myself as a planner in the family. well not too obvious since i was not considered as an adult at that time, but being me, i sort of like having this panic mode, and consequence to this, I tend to forget things :) so that is why i love to plan upfront.


So, it is not surprised anymore if let say we are already in Cameron today even though early in the morning, I am complaining in the blog dunno what to do during the weekend.


Oh, that so my Emran :)


anyway, it is not a complaint yer cik abang..


and so.. last week, nearly to 7pm on Sunday, mr. husband, while sitting on a comfort sofa at my mum's house, suddenly said


"jom makan dekat Barada, ajak semua orang, kite belanja"

the phone number is no longer valid - you may call this number 010-2916303 (Asaad) 

you see -- ajak semua orang.. not only I have to adapt, but so does my family hehehe..


Luckily both parents said YES especially mr. father, oh mum a bit reluctant (you know she loves home cook and would rather spend her time doing the house chores) but since all of us said


"alaa maa, minggu depan dah nak puasa, jom la pergi tempat emran melepak dengan kawan dia"


Mr. Brother no 2 decided not to go. orang nak kawin, sibuk nak buat keje..

Barada located at Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, behind Carrefour. This restaurant is belonged to a Malaysian, so the Arabic ambiance is injected with Malaysian culture :)


and since we arrived nearly to 9, Sister  No. 7 is half to bed.

and you know, part of aging process, and err can i say, with 7 siblings, I forgot to invite sister no 3  ;p luckily  when i called Mr. BIL at 8, he said OK...

Mr. Husband ordered Madghout rice and yes, I think I just love the juicy lamb. Not sure whether it was an oxtail or any other lamb's part, but seriously it was tenderly juicy.. :) The last time when I came here, the price was RM28, and it was in November 2011, but now the price is RM40, i supposed the portion is bigger? not too sure.. but whatever it is, sedap - not dry..

For Mr. father, we ordered Mint tea (RM10) per pot. Rest of us (apart from our parents), I forced my siblings to order normal drinks  - milo, ais lemon, honey tea and sewaktu dengannya, else if I didn't strict this rules, each of them would simply order segala mala juice, smoothies, which may end up nearly rm100. Ok, sebab dah pernah terkene kan.. tu yang jadi bising tu :p

and the two little munchkin were both in a good mood. Bila tengok gambar bawah ni, rasa macam Zubair ni abang  and Emir ni adik pulak.. Emir requested to eat ice cream, and proudly he ordered on his own.. dah besar dah anak bujang i ni..

Where to eat: Hotel Istana | Urban Restaurant | Fine Dining | Part 2

During our stay here, seriously, it is all about having a good food. Yeah, I bet definitely we gain few kilos here, but worry about this later as somehow, this would be our life time experience kan makan tempat mahal cam gini..


Anyway, yesterday, Hotel Istana arranged for our dinner at Urban Restaurant, a contemporary fine dining restaurant located at the Lobby. Malu-malu jugak nak masuk since err ye lah, fine dining kan..


The decoration is simple yet elegance, with orange color dictated the space. 

Staffs sangat friendly. They told us the recommended menu, ok seriously, we didn't know what to order, semua nampak macam best, semua nampak macam menarik. I discussed dengan husband i, nak order something yang different.. tapi rasanya semua name i tak pernah dengar hahaha...

First, they served us with Puri Bread.. Sedap!! Emir pun melahap bende ni jugak.. This is not in the menu that we ordered, I think this is complimentary kot.. tapi sedapp!!

Then, not long after that, came the walnut bread.. We were errr.. "banyak nyer nak makan".. Of course, we didn't manage to eat all. kene simpan untuk next menu that we officially ordered..

Ok below is my appetizer.. Risotto served with Scallops, Prawns and Asparagus Risotto is an Italian rice, Emir yang suke, very cheesy and creamy, kalau I makan sorang memang muaklah, luckily Emir finished 3 quarter of it..

Below is hubby's Appetizer - Australian Lamb Rib served with Onion Relish and Cheese Dolmades sedap jugak, Emir pun balun ni jugak.. Ok, anak teruna i sekarang makan banyak tau!!.. 

While waiting for Main Course to come, Emir dah restless dah, dengan battery Tab dah habis, dia dah pusing-pusing, and I dah started to worry, ye lah, gelas sane sini. So, I gave him my camera, and pergilah dia ambik gambar.. Punyelah lame dia dekat this area, ntah ape dia borak I tak tau, but later, bile I tengok gambar.. ni lah hasilnya dari Emir

sempat tu "flirting" kakak-kakak kat sini.. 

See.. siap ade gambar staff buat peace lagi Emir ambik haha.. (bagus ni untuk masuk contest :p). While waiting for our main course, we have been served with Strawberry Sherbet .. sedap!! Again, Emir pun dapat portion dia and he finished it all.. mak paknyer tok sah cakap la kan.. balun!!!

Actually kiterang eager nak tengok macam mane rupe our main course kan.. haa ni I order.. I was contemplating nak order ni atau sea bass..Tapi Seabass kat rumah pun i masak, so baiklah i order something yang i tak masak kat rumah.. plus i sekarang ni pun dah avoid red meat, tapi kali ni belasahh je..once a while heheh.. This is Roasted Barramundi Fillet served with Kailan and Star Anise Sauce

and ni Hubby punye.. menarik?? I rasa menarik!! otak udang tu perghhhh yummylicious hehe.. Name order hubby.. Fillet Mignon paired with Seaweed Butter Blue Leg Prawn and Mushroom Ragout

 Sangat full ok, nampak portion kecik je, tapi very filling.. mase ni i dah terduduk dah.. kenyang giler, tapi hubby sempat order coffee lagi tu.. Emir cakap the biscuit tu sedap.. he ate it all..

Menyandar I Ok, was thinking macam mane lah nak sumbat dessert ni.. tapi dah part of allocated entitlement kan.. haruslah merasa semua.. So I ordered this Apple Crumble with Madagascan Vanilla Ice Cream, Peanut & Almond Crumbs.. sedap!!! I simply love the presentation, pinggan bukan main besar tapi ade hole tengah2..

Tapi the presentation, tak boleh lawan hubby punye, first time tengok orang letak gelas sebesar ni.. Emir pulak excited tengok strawberries, he just love strawberries!! Kalau ade jamu strawberries, kalau boleh semua dia nak habiskan.. I ordered Lime Caramel Choc & Biscuit Strudel and Fresh Berries served with Hot Lime Caramel for hubby..  

Tengoklah gelas dia menarik kan.. ni i tak sempat nak merasa, tapi since Emir tak berminat dengan i punye, but could sit still with his father, mesti sedap punye tu..

There goes the bill.. Total - RM309.40, tak denyer I nak keluar belanje banyak ni  untuk dua orang makan hehe.. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

Walau macam mane fine dining pun, my two heroes masih dengan hobi masing-masing.. Sorang pegang Galaxy Tab tak habis-habis.. sorang lagi dengan kamera...

Honestly, serious best!! I cakap dekat laki i, this is one of the best prize I have ever received!!
